About Louise
I am a first year Aerospace engineering student at the University of Hertfordshire, with ambitions to become an aircraft restoration engineer! From a young age I have always been gifted with numbers, meaning maths does come easily to me. For the past 3 years I have tutored students in my spare time, and it brings me so much joy helping others and watching students improve their grades! Although tutoring is not my dream, it is a passion of mine and it is also a way for me to ensure that I keep on top of my own knowledge, whilst helping those who struggle with their own studies!

After 3 years of tutoring students in maths from the ages of 10-16 I have developed my own technique and style when it comes to planning out my tutoring sessions. I spend time getting to know each student and identifying their problem areas. I like to come up with a 4-week plan for each student and tend to organise it around their current studies at school or upcoming exams. Previously, I have seen students improve their GCSE grades from a level 3 to a level 6, and seeing their progress encourages me to help more! In my tutoring sessions I encourage students to be open and honest about what they do and do not understand, and with a lot of time and patience I believe that there is no problem too challenging to complete! I would like to also mention that I have a full enhanced DBS check!
