About Siya
I am currently an incoming freshman at UIUC and I plan on studying Computer Science. Throughout high school, I have been highly focused in fields of STEM and earned excelling grades and scores on all standardized and aptitude tests all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA despite taking predominately honors and AP classes. In the past year, I have also been accepted into some of the most prestigious universities in the country including Duke, Cornell, and Northwestern along with all of the Big 10 Universities under many scholarship opportunities.
I have also taken on a lot of tutoring/education roles throughout high school as well and have really learned how to make students feel comfortable asking more questions while getting something fruitful out of lessons. When I talk to students, I see myself not as their mentor but as their friend supporting them in the big jumps they are making in life.
With my own track record of excellence in high school and acceptance into some of the most competitive undergraduate universities in the country, I hope to share the good and the bad of my own journey to better prepare students for the years to come!

Generally, lessons will take place in a guided setting where the student and I will work hands-on while solving problems. I believe in the approach of doing and not just showing and will open up opportunities for students to speak through problems with me.
Each lesson will be carefully redesigned based on the student's progress and needs. By no means do I believe that rushing the learning process is beneficial to the student or myself and I will ensure that each student gets the proper attention and guidance they deserve.
Depending on the lesson, I will provide any materials that we used (i.e. notes, practice, etc) and provide homework options if deemed necessary.
Since my lessons are guided toward younger audiences (high school and middle school), I am also open to setting up an introductory call with parents and students to get a better overview of what their tutoring needs are.
For me, the student is the top priority and I will do my best to ensure each student's needs are met.
