About Siya
Achieving an A in A-Level Politics has given me a strong understanding of the subject and the ability to approach exams with confidence and precision. As a first year university student, I remember what it was like to prepare for exams, tackle difficult essay questions and balance a large amount of content. This allows me to offer practical advice from a student's perspective and explain things in ways that feel approachable and easy to understand. I am approachable, patient and fully committed to every student's progress. I take the time to understand where a student is struggling and focus on turning those weaknesses into strengths. Whether the goal is to improve essay technique, develop stronger political analysis, understand difficult topics or prepare for upcoming exams, I will make sure our time together is purposeful and focused. Alongside my own studies, I have had experience mentoring other students in Politics, helping them work through challenging topics, develop their essay technique and become more confident when expressing political arguments. I particularly enjoy finding different ways to explain complex ideas and adapting my approach depending on how each student learns best. Supporting other students has shown me how rewarding it is to see someone go from feeling uncertain about a topic to confidently understanding and applying it. My goal is not simply to help students improve their grades, but to give them the confidence to believe that they are capable of achieving them.

My approach to tutoring is optimistic, supportive and focused on helping students build their confidence and achieve their target grades in A-level politics. As a first year university student who achieved an A in politics I understand the challenges an A-Level student faces. As a tutor I will tailor each lesson to the student's needs which includes breaking down difficult political concepts, going through key thinkers and ideologies, practising exam questions or reviewing past papers. I will focus on helping students understand how to apply their knowledge to questions rather than simply memorising information. A typical lesson would be 60 minutes long although I can be flexible depending on the student's needs and availability. I can provide online lessons using a platform such as Zoom. My lessons are primarily aimed at GCSE and A-Level students studying politics, particularly those following the Pearson Edexcel specification. Whether you are looking to improve your grades, strengthen your essay technique, or simply feel more confident with the subject, I aim to make lessons engaging, structured and useful.
