About Shawn
I have played flute and piccolo for 9 years and I have been apart of many symphonies and ensembles as both a flautist and as a percussionist. I have experience as a volunteer tutor at a middle school and a day care, so I know how to interact to teach children. Not only that, I have worked in professional settings so I know how to get along with adults too!
Though I am young and I may not be a professional musician or a formal teacher, I am a student myself. I believe it helps to learn from someone who remembers and understands what it's like to be inexperienced and confused on something new!
Looking back on my first year of music, the people that helped me learn the most wasn't the teacher, but the older students who were in my shoes a few years back.
