About Amelie
I am an engaging and passionate tutor with genuine interest in helping others to learn. With predicted A*s at A Level and 9s achieved at GCSE, I am a hardworking student eager to aid others to excel in their studies. Having completed both my GCSEs and A Level mock exams, I am accustomed to exam technique and therefore I am well suited to guide other pupils through their exams, whether these be GCSEs or end of year exams or topic tests. My specialist subjects at A Level are History, French and Maths, but I also studied Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Classics, Latin, History and French at GCSE, and would be happy to help with any of these subjects. Recently I have volunteered at a primary school to teach French to students in year 4, which has developed my teaching ability and helped me to improve the skills necessary to succeed in helping the children to progress in their French learning. These skills are applicable to tutoring not just French, but any subject the student may need my help in.

As I am currently studying my A Levels and I have completed my GCSEs, I have learned effective approaches to exams and also helpful techniques for both revision and learning, which I would share within a tutor session. As different techniques work better for different people, within these tutor sessions I would aim to try different approaches to learning to find the best fit for the pupil. Whether the session targets revision or learning, I have a wide range of resources to share or use with the pupil that would aid them to progress in the chosen subject area.
