About Jona
As a bilingual speaker fluent in Spanish and English, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and how to make the process engaging and effective. Growing up between the U.S. and Bolivia has given me firsthand experience in cross-cultural communication, which I bring into my teaching. My goal is to create a supportive and interactive learning environment where you feel confident speaking Spanish from day one. Lessons are tailored to your needs, whether you're a beginner building a foundation or an advanced learner refining your fluency. Using real-world materials like conversations, music, and media, I make learning practical and enjoyable. With a Level 5 TEFL certification and experience mentoring students in various settings, I focus on communication, cultural understanding, and natural language use. Whether you're learning Spanish for travel, work, or personal growth, I'm here to guide and encourage you every step of the way. Let's make learning Spanish a fun and rewarding journey together!

As a tutor, my approach is student-centered, focusing on interactive and conversational learning to help you feel confident using Spanish in real-life situations. I believe language learning should be engaging and enjoyable, so I tailor each lesson to your interests, goals, and skill level—whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your fluency.
A typical lesson starts with a warm-up conversation to practice speaking naturally, followed by targeted exercises on vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. We’ll also use real-world materials like music, articles, and videos to make learning immersive and practical. I emphasize communication over perfection, so you’ll get plenty of speaking practice without fear of making mistakes.
What sets me apart is my bilingual background and experience in cross-cultural communication. Growing up between the U.S. and Bolivia, I understand the challenges of learning a language and how to bridge the gap between theory and real-life use.
These lessons are for anyone—from complete beginners to advanced learners—whether you’re studying Spanish for travel, school, work, or personal growth. Let’s make learning Spanish an enjoyable and meaningful experience together!
