About Otis
I am a dedicated flute tutor who believes every student can develop skill, confidence, and creativity. My teaching combines mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability to guide students effectively. I focus on tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control while nurturing expressive musicality. Lessons also include music theory, sight-reading, and listening exercises for well-rounded musicianship. I teach the flute with creativity, care, and focus on growth. My lessons are designed to make learning both fun and meaningful. I believe that every student learns best when they are curious and supported. As a mentor, I guide students to think deeply about music and discover their own expression. Accountability helps students stay motivated and consistent with practice.
I help them set achievable goals and reflect on their improvement. Lessons include creative exercises that build technique and imagination together.
