About Joel
I taught math to over 500 high school students from grades 7-11. I also taught university-level math and engineering courses at UAH's Tutoring center. At UAH's tutoring center, I received an International Tutor Training Program Certification ITTPC from the CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) via the UAH tutoring center Staff.

I graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics.
I teach the topics using real-world examples which help build intuition for tricky math concepts. I create an environment that would make the student feel comfortable asking questions. I strive to make the topics engaging. My 8-year background in teaching allows me to navigate student learning types and levels, and use the appropriate methods to drive assimilation.
