*** My location is at an OFFICE BUILDING, not my home. I tutor out of my conference room with a 60" TV and glass dry eraser boards. *** I’ve spent years working with advanced math in both academic and real-world settings. I understand how challenging it can be, and I’m here to help make things clearer and easier to work through. My sessions are focused and structured, but always open and comfortable. I explain things in a straightforward way and encourage questions at any point. You will not just learn how to solve problems but also understand why the methods work. I take this seriously and always come prepared. If you are willing to put in the effort, I will be right there with you. My goal is to help you feel confident and capable every step of the way.

My name is Itiel. As a former Adjunct Professor at CSI/CUNY with professional experience as an actuary and financial underwriter, I bring both academic depth and real-world application to my tutoring. My approach focuses on building strong conceptual understanding, followed by guided practice and advanced problem-solving.
Each session is customized to the student’s needs. A typical lesson begins with a review of key ideas, followed by step-by-step examples and hands-on problem work. I emphasize clarity, logical structure, and connections between theory and application.
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge rigorous mathematical theory with real-world relevance—particularly in financial modeling, engineering mathematics, and abstract math. I help students not just pass but truly internalize the material.
I work exclusively with students studying advanced undergraduate or graduate-level mathematics—especially those in STEM, finance, or engineering. Topics include all levels of Calculus, ODEs, PDEs, Linear Algebra, Numerical Methods, Abstract Mathematics, and more. I do not tutor subjects below Calculus.
I am only available on Sundays and only take up to two students at a time to ensure quality and focus. If you’re seeking deep understanding, structured sessions, and expert guidance, I’d be glad to support your academic journey.
