About Corey
Hi, I’m Corey—a University of Florida graduate with a degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. I’ve been where many students are now: struggling to make sense of Physics 2 (PHY2054) and feeling overwhelmed. After failing the course myself, I came back with a new mindset and strategy—and now I help others do the same. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students through empathy, adaptability, and a focus on long-term growth. I understand how frustrating it can be to not "get it" right away, and I teach in a way that’s patient, encouraging, and personalized. My goal is not just to help you pass, but to help you become a confident, independent learner and critical thinker. I’m committed to professionalism, punctuality, and creating a positive learning environment where questions are always welcome. Whether you're a pre-med, STEM major, or just trying to get through your general physics requirement, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward—one step at a time.

My teaching approach is all about clarity, confidence, and critical thinking. I adapt each lesson to your individual learning style—whether you're a visual, hands-on, or auditory learner. I know firsthand how hard Physics 2 (PHY2054) can be, and I use that experience to guide students through the concepts in a way that makes sense, not just for the next exam, but for long-term academic success. A typical lesson starts by reviewing your course materials and identifying weak spots. From there, I break down complex topics into manageable parts, use real-life examples from physiology and medicine when relevant, and work through problems together. I don’t just give answers—I help you develop the reasoning and problem-solving skills needed to become an independent thinker. These lessons are ideal for college students—especially pre-med, allied health, or STEM majors—who are currently enrolled in Physics 2 without calculus (PHY2054) or a similar course. If you’ve struggled with physics in the past, or want to build a stronger academic foundation for upper-division courses, I’m here to help.
