About Stefanie
I am a school counselor working with elementary currently. I spent 13 years working with high school aged students teaching science, working with special education students, and serving as an athletic trainer. I hold a bachelors degree in Athletic Training, a master’s degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology, and my professional teaching certificate, special education certification, and school counseling certification.

I take a very student centered approach. Every student learns differently, but they can all learn with the right tools. I like to provide visuals and model for students the expectations of a lesson or activity. I also like to use the “I do, we do, you do” approach so that students feel supported and gradually transition into independent thinking.
