About Quinn
In the five years that I was a high school teacher here in Saskatoon, I truly cared for my students. However, I was burnt out by the overcrowded classrooms and the environment in which I was asked to teach. I think the students are also not learning in that environment. I chose to do tutoring on the side to be able to specifically help those students that want to be better and to learn more deeply within the subject of their choice without the distractions of their classroom. I honestly feel that classrooms should be no bigger than 15 to 20 students. Hence, why I left teaching 20 years ago. And now I am just realizing that I can bring my gift of teaching and helping students grow and learn because they want to, not because they have to. To be chosen as a tutor to a young student is an honor and a privilege. I truly miss teaching, but I don’t miss the classroom. This is why I am here.

I left teaching 20 years ago because I felt the classroom was truly no place for a child to learn. Most students struggle in the overcrowded chaotic environment.that is the modern day classroom. I truly want to help those students that are looking to improve themselves in the areas of English and history and media studies. by helping them think critically and learn and be rewarded by their effort not the results. That does not mean results aren’t important, but I truly think that students learn because they feel rewarded by the journey and the process not just the grade at the end of the day. That is when students truly grow. And become better at life
