About Lily
I have been tutoring for at least four years now. During my high school years, I was part of the National Honor Society where it was required to complete tutoring hours. I also volunteered at an elementary school a few years ago, and I currently work as a math tutor. I am going into Chemical Engineering, and I have loved math my whole life.

Teachers set the foundation for the students' relationship with knowledge. A good teacher makes a good student. It is important that the teacher is able to make the student feel comfortable and safe. Positive reinforcement is the only thing that should be used in order to let the student have the proper environment to want to learn. It is also important that the students are comfortable enough to make mistakes, mistakes are what create knowledge, learning after a mistake gives more knowledge than simply learning with no error. I have been a tutor for a long time, and this has given me the ability to understand how to properly make a student feel safe enough to make errors.
