About Bakr
I am a former Mathematics Consultant and Strategic Leader with extensive experience teaching and leading mathematics across secondary schools. Over the years, I have worked with students of varying starting points, helping them develop strong mathematical understanding and confidence through a structured conceptual approach.
My interest in teaching mathematics comes from a belief that students achieve their best when they genuinely understand the subject rather than simply memorising procedures. I particularly enjoy helping students develop logical thinking, independence and confidence in tackling challenging problems.
I enjoy working with students who are willing to think deeply, engage seriously with the subject and develop their understanding over time. Over the years, many of my former students have gone on to study Mathematics, Medicine and other competitive university courses.

My lessons are structured around developing a clear and deep understanding of mathematics, rather than relying on memorisation of methods. I focus on helping students recognise patterns, understand the reasoning behind techniques, and apply their knowledge confidently to unfamiliar exam questions.
Each session is carefully planned and tailored to the student’s current level, with a balance between strengthening core concepts and practising exam-level problems. I place strong emphasis on logical thinking, clear working, and building independence in problem-solving.
Students are expected to engage actively during sessions and complete work set between lessons, as consistent effort is key to making meaningful progress.
