About Mason
I have over 3 years of experience teaching in grades K-12, two years specifically in teaching math. I have worked with all grade levels and taught everything from basic arithmetic to calculus! My favorite concepts to teach are numerical fluency and algebra, especially together. Over the years, I have developed a unique strategy of teaching algebra that doesn't rely on memorizing rules, but rather a deep understanding of numbers and their functions in equations. I prefer to focus on mastery of concepts over rote memorization, helping my students develop a broad understanding of mathematics and hopefully adding some fun to the work!

I have a ground up approach when teaching and I like to work with students long term to build up numerical fluency. I believe that you're never too old to master the basics, in fact that is the most important part!
Our first session together, we will talk about your goals and what exactly you are looking for help with. From there, we'll work together to build a learning plan that is customized to your needs and goals.
I am happy to work with students of any age and grade level.
