About Haojun (Luka)
Hi there! I'm Hao Jun Tan, but you can also call me Luka. I'm a 20 year old student based in Melbourne for the next few months and I'd like to teach primary school / high school math in the meantime.
When asked to describe me, people generally say I'm witty and easygoing. I'm planning to take up tutoring to not put my summer break to waste.
My key achievements:
2014 - Placed 1st in my country and 6th globally among over 2000 4th graders in SASMO (Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad)
2015 - Qualified to Top 30 in Malaysia's national selection for 8 representatives to represent the country to PMWC (Primary Mathematics World Contest). Finished Top 12 in a preliminary round and received a bronze medal.
2016 - One of only 10 people from my home state invited to compete in final round in a different country for APMOPS (Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools) all expenses paid by finishing joint 3rd in a preliminary round.
A*s for both Maths and Add Maths in my A-Levels (Standardized Year 11 exams).

My lessons:
I am flexible anywhere from 1 hour, 1.5 hour or 2 hour sessions, and can do them physical in Melbourne or online depending on your needs.
I can teach any age of primary or high school students. I'm known to be easygoing and flexible so I should be able to deal with the lessons no matter what.
As someone who's gone through the same, I believe you should get students to understand concepts by teaching them in easily understood ways before exposing them to similar questions.
