I played football professionally for years before transitioning into teaching, and that athletic discipline and team mentality still shapes almost everything about how I run a lesson today. Eight years into teaching now, I've worked with approximately one hundred ninety students, many of them fellow athletes or genuinely goal-oriented students who respond well to structure and clear accountability. My athletic background gives me a naturally disciplined, consistency-focused teaching style, treating language progress a bit like athletic development, built steadily through genuine, consistent effort. Mistakes get treated like a missed pass, worth analysing briefly then moving on immediately, never dwelled on unnecessarily or treated as a genuine setback. I push students to show up consistently, even on low-motivation days, since I know firsthand that consistency beats occasional intensity every single time. Every lesson stays focused, disciplined, and genuinely goal-oriented throughout.
