About Priscilla
I am a grandmother who loves children and is dedicated to helping students improve their reading and comprehension skills through teaching phonics and other skills necessary to improve speed and help students read at their grade level. I have tutored 1st through 3rd graders.

My teaching methodology is that any student can learn to read proficiently with one-on-one tutoring, with primary emphasis on phonics. Tutors can give their undivided attention to that one student who is struggling, something that most classroom teachers don't have time for. After 3rd grade, teachers expect their students know how to read and don't stress those skills anymore, and if a student reads poorly, it affects all of their subjects as well as their grades throughout high school.
