About Zach
A bit about me... I know how hard, stressful and overwhelming GCSEs can be. I was lucky enough to have very supportive teachers and fellow students helping me achieve my goals. At GCSE, I obtained two 9, three 8s, four 7s and a six including a grade 8 in maths. Following that, I completed my A-levels where I studied and achieved Maths (A), Further Maths (B), German (A), Music (A) and AS Chemistry (B). During Y13, I volunteered as a teaching assistant in two Y11 maths classes. Following this I was offered a job as a Maths tutor at one of my local secondary schools where I helped prepare students for their GCSE exams. I worked with classes, small groups and on a one-to-one basis. This last year I have worked as a full-time maths teacher (UQT) teaching maths and further maths to students from year 7 through to year 11. I am currently studying Economics at the University of Groningen, Netherlands. Alongside these roles, I have continued to privately tutor GCSE students (particularly homeschooled students) where all my students have made tremendous progress and achieved grade 7+1! More recently I have also successfully begun tutoring A-level maths, preparing my student for his upcoming exam. I have a passion for maths and love working with young people to develop and strengthen their maths confidence, ability and understanding for the subject and would love to work with you to help you achieve your goals!

Everyone has different needs and goals! As your tutor, I will try and create engaging lessons based off your needs, whether that be introducing you to particular types of exam questions, helping you thoroughly revise topics so that you know how to approach the relevant questions in exams, or introducing you to new concepts and ideas. Through these lessons I will try and build up your maths skills by challenging you, while ensuring you remain motivated and confident in your abilities and strengths. The lesson will be conducted over Zoom, so if you have a device and some pen and paper then you are good to go. At the end of each lesson, I will send you a pdf version of our notes which will allow you to go back over what we have looked at. Get in touch to try out a FREE first lesson!
