About Elijah
I am a college student in the Philippines aspiring to pass a mechanical engineering course. Engineering courses are heavy in math, that is why I chose to be a math tutor. During my high school days, I taught my classmates certain math problems that they have difficulty understanding to which I gave them a chance for them to be taught in order to pass the subject. I also grew passionate to teaching and helping other people when they struggle to understand as best as I can. As a tutor, I aspire to help even more students who are struggling to keep up in math as I do believe math can be a challenging subject.

I typically prefer elementary and high school students as my lessons and approach are more suitable for them as well as seeking engagement of the students to general topics of mathematics as a way to introduce them. I teach with care and patience towards my student through a setting a good and safe environment, open to mistakes, as well as encouraging improvement after every take. Additionally, I would also approach my student with adaptability in order to assess any weakness and strengths and adjust accordingly to the lesson and the student themselves. My lesson plan would include math topics that are covered in elementary and high school level and teach them through active participation, engaging way of teaching, and exercises.
