About Rio
_My Qualifications
I have Grade 8 in both Piano and Guitar, as well as Grade 5 Music Theory. I have also achieved a D2 (A*) in Pre-U Music. I have also received a D2 in Pre-U Philosophy, as well as a B in A Level Maths. I studied Composition as my first study at the Purcell School of Music, and have won a commendation in the BBC Inspire Young Composers Competition. I also received a place to study composition at the Royal College of Music.

Experience in producing musical scores for all occasions in a professional
setting
Knowledge in both how to start and develop compositional skills
Strong expertise in both music theory and the history of music in many genres
Knowledge of essay writing skills tailored to succeed in exams
Wide and diverse reading within philosophy, as well as in literature and politics
Experience in developing study skills, as well as schedules and practise
regimes
Cleaning up compositions before submission, as well as looking over any parts
that need help and providing suggestions
_My Objectives
Having studied at both a selective grammar school and the Purcell school of music, I strongly believe that the best way to learn any subject is to foster a love of both the field and learning more generally, and I am enthusiastic about not only helping students improve their academic abilities, but also hopefully develop a deep interest in the subjects they are studying. I am eager to tailor my style of tutoring to fit whatever student I have, and I am very open to feedback and suggestions.
