About Destiny
Hi, I’m Destiny! I’m a former classroom teacher with 7 years of tutoring experience. I’ve taught kindergarten and middle school and now work with students from elementary through high school.
Math can be frustrating when a student doesn’t understand how or why something works. I’m patient and happy to slow down, break a problem into smaller steps, or explain it a different way until it makes sense.
I get to know each student and adjust my approach based on what works best for them. I also keep parents updated on what we're working on and where I’m seeing progress or continued challenges.

Math sessions are based on what your student is currently learning and where they need support. We can work on foundational skills, current classwork, test preparation, or concepts that haven't fully clicked yet.
I use visuals, examples, guided practice, and step-by-step explanations rather than expecting students to simply memorize a process. As students become more comfortable, I gradually give them more independence so they can solve problems without relying on me for every step.
Students are always welcome to bring homework, study guides, upcoming test material, or specific topics they'd like help with.
If you're looking for ongoing math support, send me a message with your student's grade and what they're currently working on.

Seems like a great tutor, organized & is willing to help in additional ways like cognitive functioning & organization skills on top of her math, English, etc!
Destiny is a very well organized English tutor for my 3rd grade boy. She is patient and experienced. She sends out regular progress updates and they are very useful to know the improvements.
Destiny has been an absolute revelation with my child. He is incredibly excited to go work with her and his parents. It is amazing to see the progress as well as have some structure to be able to work with him at home.
We saw an instant improvement in how he was approaching his math and spelling, and it made it much easier for us as a family to work on it together.Destiny helped my child to develop her writing skills. Before she would not want to write at all. Now she can write 20+ minutes uninterrupted. She has improved her writing skills in school. She makes learning fun and my child wants to go to her lessons!
