About Emily
I have always been passionate about supporting people to believe in their abilities and find other ways to understand topics that have not clicked for them. I am patient and committed to finding a way for a subject or theory to click for my students.
How something is explained may work for one person but not another and it is my job to find the most effective way of delivering the information to my student. I believe tutoring is a very collaborative thing between myself and my student and I will never simply dictate how a lesson will go.

I am happy to adapt the lesson length and methodology based on each student as everyone has different ways of learning effectively. A lesson can last between 30 and 60 minutes. I will require an initial 30 minute session with your child to best understand their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style so that we can best build their confidence and ability. As a neurodivergent individual myself I am also familiar with the struggles faced by neurodivergent children regarding sensory input, eye contact and other factors and I am able to adapt my approach to consider these.
