About Jacob
I'm Jacob Reynolds, I'm a fourth year medical student at HYMS. I have around 6 years experience tutoring and have tutored a wide range of students. I really enjoy tutoring and helping other students out who may need some extra help which they aren't finding in school. I'm patient and good at explaining topics and breaking things down to help you understand more about topics that you maybe don't understand that well. I find it really interesting to see students improve in their subjects that they are struggling in and see their hard work finally paying off and to support students in that makes me feel happy and fulfilled. So I really look forward to helping you get the grades that you want and deserve!

My tutoring style is to teach in a way which you will learn from the best as many people learn more effectively in different ways. I will use mostly exam questions which we can go through together and I will make sure you understand what we went through but if you have any concerns or questions I'd be more than happy to answer them and explain how you can improve your grades in your own revision. Lessons would be 1-2 hours long. I have A*'s in biology and chemistry and an A in maths, I have tutored A level and GCSE maths to multiple people who have found my tutoring helpful to them. I have also tutored A level chemistry to a classmate who went from a C/D student to an A at the end of the A level. My lessons are for anyone who would like help in maths/chemistry/biology who are studying GCSE or A level.

Jacob was recommended by a friend to tutor my son in his final year of secondary school leading up to his GCSE’s. He was failing Math, which he needed for college. My son is diagnosed with M.E and missed so much of school. Jacob agreed to tutor him knowing that he was behind, unmotivated, physically/cognitively fatigued and low in mood. Jacob is so passionate about Math that it emanates from him. He explained everything in such a way that my son was able to understand and retain. He passed his GCSE Math with a 6. Jacob has a wealth of knowledge and is eager to share. He was very professional, patient and empathic to my son’s needs at all times. I have no concerns about Jacob at all and would highly recommend him as a tutor.
