About Simran
I’m a fourth-year Veterinary Science student at Massey University, especially interested in small animal, equine and alpaca medicine. I enjoy being outdoors with all sorts of animals, along with enjoying tramps and trips to the beach. I’ve been tutoring for 5+ years now, and really enjoy being able to share my knowledge with students. I’m enthusiastic about Biology and hope to encourage all the students I have the opportunity to tutor— whether or not they are interested in a future involving Biology! After spending so many years studying and being interested in this subject, I still understand how sometimes it can feel overwhelming and tedious, and I strive to help as much as I can as a tutor :)

I use a personalized teaching method that is catered to the needs of each individual student, no matter their confidence/ability level. I like to use a mixture of the students, my own, and online resources as material to teach from, as this gives us a diverse range of resources to work from to find the best fit. I’m happy to do 1-2 hour lessons and am flexible with times. I started tutoring in years 12-13 by helping younger students in school, before continuing in my second year of university — tutoring first-year university students and year 12s and 13s. I am happy to share my NCEA grades if you are interested, and am keen to tutor any level of student, from year 7 to 13.
