About Freddie
Hi, I'm Freddie. I graduated as an engineer from the University of Bath and now live in Brighton, though I'm up in London often. I offer tutoring in Maths, Physics and Economics up to A-level.
After my MEng in Integrated Mechanical & Electrical Engineering I went into investment work, and I've spent the last seven years or so across two funds in London. I'm currently doing an MBA at Esade and have passed CFA Levels I and II. Before university I studied Maths, Physics and Economics at A-level, along with Further Maths up to AS, and I did twelve GCSEs, getting ten A*/A grades.
I've always loved working with young people, whether academic or sporting. That comes from growing up with younger siblings, a few years as a part-time nanny, coaching at the Fit For Sport holiday camp, and coaching rugby for Barnes RFC U13s.
Having had to work hard for my own results, from my dyslexia to my sporting commitments, and having used tutors myself, I understand what students need. From the basic fundamentals to just giving a student confidence in their ability, I feel I can help.

I usually start by working out where a student is and go from there. I don't like rushing through things just to cover ground. I'd rather get the fundamentals right first and build confidence off the back of that. We'll do plenty of past papers and exam questions, and I try to break the harder bits down and use real examples so things actually make sense. I'd always rather a student understood why something works than just learned the steps by heart.
Lessons normally last from 30 minutes to an hour, but I'm happy to do longer ones, around 90 minutes to two hours, near exam time or for bigger topics.
I teach students from GCSE/IGCSE up to A-level in Maths, Physics and Economics, with Further Maths if needed. I'm based in Brighton and travel to London regularly, so I can do in-person lessons in either area, as well as online wherever you are

Perfect! Could not have asked for a better tutor
Freddie is extremely understanding to your situation and helps you in every way possible. He went beyond just helping my brother with the topics he is struggling with by helping him structure his studies with timetables and advising on study books etc. My brother goes from confused to confident about his maths work after each session with Freddie.
