About Camilla
I discovered the Alexander Technique many years ago when I was studying the violin, and struggled with hints of tendonitis in my arms. The Alexander technique was the salvation for me: I learned to use my body in a freer and more dynamic way, health-promoting instead of destructive. I have been a teacher in Alexander Technology since 2007, and have my education from reputable schools in London. I am also a professional violinist with a master's degree and pedagogical education from the Norwegian Academy of Music, with many years as an orchestra musician, among other things, in the Oslo Philharmonic and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra behind me.
I am passionate about sharing my experiences with the Alexander Technique with other musicians - and others who have a body that they need to function as well as possible in every moment.

Taking classes in Alexander Technique is about finding your way back to a better use of yourself: a more fine-tuned calm and presence that you can with you into your everyday life and all the activities you are interested in. In teaching, I use gentle touch combined with verbal instruction. Together we develop tools you can use to gradually meet the many impulses of everyday life with less tension and greater freedom, both physically and mentally. By applying the principles you learn, you can reduce tension and movement habits that can lead to back pain, headaches, stiff necks, sciatica pain and a whole host of other ailments - and regain a natural experience of lightness and well-being. Traditionally, teaching in Alexander technology is given as private lessons, which are always adapted to the individual student's needs. I also like to work with smaller groups, where the students can inspire each other and at the same time benefit from the teacher's attention.
