About Georgina
Hello!
I studied French and Italian at degree level, and had the invaluable opportunity to live in both France and Italy for a year, during which time I volunteered at an arts centre in Marseille, and studied at Italian universities in both Urbino and Perugia. I was amazed at how drastically my languages improved during my time abroad, thanks to being immersed in the culture and language. As a result, my aim as a tutor is to provide dynamic sessions with tutees, combining grammar and vocabulary work with upbeat, everyday conversation in the target language(s).
As a pupil at school, I excelled in English and English literature at GCSE, achieving A* and A respectively, and having studied languages since then, I understand the English language in much greater depth.

During our first session, I will learn about my tutee, including their likes and dislikes, whether they enjoy academia, and what, specifically, we need to focus on during future sessions. With this information, I will cater to my tutee's needs and learning styles, creating rigid lesson plans for those who need it, and applying a more relaxed teaching style for those who respond better to such a method.
