About Stéphanie
Bonjour and welcome to your private French class, my name is Stéphanie and I am a professional French tutor, also working as a freelance French content writer and translator between English and French. I have worked teaching French classes for several years and giving French and English grinds. I have been working with children and adults, around various language registers from formal to casual styles, going through school book exercises ahead of tests and exams when required, and most of the time designing individual class content together with the students of French throughout their progress and specifically adjusted to their own needs and learning aims. Your French class is unique and aims at bringing you in touch with the French language in a more natural way. My background is diverse since I have been working in several professions, namely, childcare, travel agent, language grinds and conversation classes, international trade, University administration, translation and teaching ballet. I have lived and worked internationally and I am passionate about cultural exchanges and languages. My academic studies: marketing degree, BA in Foreign Literature and Civilisations (English Studies), MA in Translation Studies, Diplôme de compétences en langues from the French rectorate.

Welcome to your French class. It is designed for you especially. Bonjour à tous, et bienvenue à votre cours de français fait sur mesure rien que pour vous. Learn French at your pace so you can converse with native speakers with ease. Learn how to speak like a local from the comfort of your home, and if you are already fluent, put your French hat on and let's get the practice going to cultivate the flow. My name is Stéphanie and I teach beginners to advanced students. I focus on the spoken aspect of the language in a way that the French language becomes accessible to the student. Teaching and learning is an enjoyable activity and the session is fitted to the student's level and potential learning objectives. We will also work with writing skills, based on your specific needs or targets, and focusing on grammar, vocabulary, tenses, punctuation, spelling, or whichever elements of the language are the most relevant to you. There are many ways we can work through learning French and during your first class we will discuss your current situation as a French student and what you would like to learn or improve on. We will then take it from there to bring you to your next steps, working at your pace, as creatively or as academically as you would like it to be.

Perfect! Stéphanie was such a wonderful tutor to work with! She has helped me to improve my French so much, and after our lessons I feel a lot more confident speaking French. She was always so patient, kind and encouraging, and was so helpful in letting me ask all of the questions I needed to in advance of my exams. Perfect! I contacted Stephanie few months ago to help my son Adam with his French leaving certificate exam in June. The lessons were on zoom, once a week, but the frequency increased as needed. I had French lessons with Stephanie - mostly concentrating on spoken French. I found that Stephanie was an excellent tutor, very helpful and kind, even though my spoken French was really weak and it would take me ages to say a basic sentence, she'd was always so patient and gave corrections in a really, nice positive way. Stephanie is a very pleasant French teacher, easily adapting to my needs.
