About Maxence
Hi everyone, my name is Maxence, I’m 22 years old and a French engineering student. After obtaining my Baccalauréat with highest honors, I studied for three years in an intensive preparatory program specialized in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, preparing for entrance exams to leading engineering schools. Afterward, I joined a prestigious engineering school in Marseille (École Centrale), where I further deepened my knowledge in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Currently, I am in Auckland, completing a research internship in an aerodynamics lab at the University of Auckland. I would like to offer tutoring because I am passionate about the subjects I teach, I enjoy helping other students, and it’s also an excellent opportunity for me to improve my English through interaction with other students.

My approach to teaching involves first identifying the student’s needs prior to the lesson:
• Helping the student understand the lesson if they are struggling
• Deepening their understanding of the material
• Working through simple exercises first, then progressing to more complex ones
Before each session, I send a lesson or an exercise to prepare, tailored specifically to the student’s needs.
Then, during the lesson, we clarify any points of confusion and continue with another part of the lesson or correct additional exercises.
I’m new to tutoring, but I have often had the opportunity to work in groups, which has helped me develop pedagogical skills.
I offer lessons to all students, and I don’t hesitate to mention if a requested topic goes beyond my expertise.
