About Gladys
I lived in France for 16 years before moving to England so I speak both languages fluently (albeit with an accent). I have a history of teaching French at a primary school level (year 6) for 2 years and have worked as a translator since then, French to English and vice-versa, both written and spoken.

I gauge what level my student is speaking at during the first lesson, then discuss their aims and how I can help them achieve that. Then every lesson we focus on a key skill they want to learn e.g. pronunciation of a certain word or phrase, how to order at a restaurant, small talk, phrases to use in a professional/personal setting. The following lesson we will recap the previous week's content, making sure you have understood it fully and the cycle repeats. At the end of each month I will conduct a miniature test, to see what progress is being made and where I should improve my teaching to focus on any weaknesses.
