About Kent
My teaching methodology for French is centered around five key principles: compassion, motivation, adaptation to learning styles, problem-solving, and a personalized approach. I create a supportive and friendly environment where students feel safe to express themselves and make mistakes. I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable and stress-free.
I strive to inspire my students by setting achievable goals and celebrating their progress. I use engaging materials and real-life scenarios to keep lessons interesting and relevant, helping students stay motivated. Every student learns differently, so I assess individual learning styles and tailor my teaching methods accordingly. Whether a student learns best through visual aids, conversation, or hands-on activities, I adjust my approach to meet their needs.
Language learning can present challenges, and I encourage students to view these challenges as opportunities for growth. Together, we tackle difficult concepts through discussion and practice, helping students develop critical thinking skills. Beyond French, I also offer tutoring in related subjects such as culture and communication, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience. With this methodology, I aim to help students build confidence and achieve fluency in French while enjoying the learning process.
