About Orly
I began studying French at age 11, was lucky enough to be selected for a 2-month exchange at the École St Michel in Bordeaux. After graduating high school with an ATAR of 97.9, and a 46 study score in French, I went on to study French at The University of Melbourne alongside a degree in Biomedicine. I have traveled to France extensively, and feel very at home within French culture and language! I do not teach based on forced memorization and dull cue-card learning! Instead, my lessons focus on making students comfortable in conversation and applied writing practice. It's incredibly important to make mistakes in order to learn, and my priority is creating an environment where students feel comfortable and at ease!

Lessons focus on oral conversation speaking/listening skills, followed by key grammar learning/ revision and finally reading comprehension and vocabulary expansion. I teach both VCE and high school age students, and have extensive resources not provided at schools that I tailor to each student to foster a passion for the language!

Orly was such a great tutor! She personalised her classes to target the areas I struggled with, and gave really helpful corrections & feedback on my work. Also had lots of material for us to go over in class and helped with school work when I asked for it. Would recommend!!
Orly was by hands down one of the most amazing and most helpful tutors I've had! She was always organised with relevant material to cover in class and provided a lot of support with my studies. She had a great understanding of the level that I was at and tailored our classes to challenge me to improve my french and I definitely saw an improvement with her support.
