About Ayub
Hi, I’m a 16-year-old student who has recently finished my GCSEs. Because I’ve only just been through the process myself, I understand what it’s actually like to revise for GCSEs, deal with difficult topics and prepare for exams.
I’ve always found that the best way to learn something is to have it explained in a simple way that actually makes sense, rather than just memorising information. That’s the approach I try to bring to my tutoring.
I also know that revision can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when there are lots of topics to cover. I can share the revision techniques, resources and exam strategies that I found most useful, as well as helping students work out what suits them personally.
I’m friendly, patient and happy to explain something more than once or approach it from a different angle. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s a big part of learning.

My lessons go beyond simply teaching the subject. I can help students understand how to revise effectively, which resources are worth using, how to structure their revision, and how to stay focused during the final months before exams. Having recently gone through GCSE preparation myself, I can share practical methods that worked for me and explain concepts in a way that feels familiar and easy to follow.
I can also help students become more confident with exam technique — from improving their answers to making sure they perform consistently across different papers, including Paper 2, rather than relying on doing well in Paper 1.
Exam stress is another important part of preparation. I can help students develop a realistic revision routine, stay calm when exams approach, and understand that once they have prepared properly, rest and relaxing are also part of performing well.
My aim is to make lessons supportive, practical and relatable, while helping students become more independent and confident in their own learning.
