About Heeta
Hi, I’m a second-year medical student at Queen Mary University of London with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. Having achieved Grade 9s in GCSE Biology and Chemistry and A grades at A-Level, I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to succeed in these subjects.
I have experience tutoring students from primary school through to A-Level, allowing me to adapt my teaching style to every learner. My students describe me as patient, approachable and skilled at breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand explanations. Rather than encouraging memorisation, I focus on building a genuine understanding of the subject so students feel confident answering unfamiliar exam questions.
Alongside tutoring, I volunteered at Kumon, where I developed experience supporting students in strengthening their foundational knowledge and building confidence in their learning. I’ve helped students improve dramatically in their exams, including from a C to an A* and from a D to an A. As a medical student, I understand the challenges of GCSE and A-Level Biology and Chemistry having taken them recently myself and know what it takes to succeed. Therefore students find it easier to relate and understand. My lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style, focusing on building a deep understanding of the content rather than simply memorising facts. Once students understand the concepts, exam questions become much easier to tackle.
I am a patient, encouraging tutor who creates a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I use active recall, spaced repetition, exam-style questions and mark scheme techniques to help students build confidence and maximise their grades. I have experience tutoring students and helping them make significant improvements in both their understanding and exam performance.
Lessons are typically one hour long and are designed around each student’s goals, whether they are aiming to improve their confidence, boost predicted grades or achieve the highest marks possible. I teach both GCSE and A-Level Biology and Chemistry, adapting every lesson to the student’s exam board and individual needs.

She's been such a helpful tutor for me throughout my A-level journey and really dove in and helped me understand any problem I faced during chemistry, using new methods to finding and solving questions in A-level style chemistry questions.
