About Vera

Hi! My name is Vera, and I’m currently studying BSc (Hons) in Computer Science in Real-Time Interactive Simulation at SIT. My academic journey has taken me through Orchid Park Secondary School, where I completed my O-Levels, and later Nanyang Polytechnic for my studies in Electronic and Computer Engineering. Throughout this time, I’ve learned that math can be challenging, but with the right guidance, it’s something everyone can master. Though I don’t have formal tutoring experience yet, I’ve often found myself helping classmates, especially during final exams, particularly in Calculus. I’ve always had a knack for breaking down complex concepts into simpler, more manageable parts, which makes it easier for others to understand. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see someone’s face light up when a difficult problem clicks — that’s why I want to teach. I believe in a patient and supportive approach to learning, where every question is welcomed, and each concept is explained at your pace. What I can offer is more than just academic knowledge; I aim to create a learning environment where you feel comfortable, confident, and encouraged. Whether it’s clear, simplified explanations or breaking down problem-solving techniques step-by-step, I’m here to support you throughout the learning process.

About the lesson

Clear and Simplified Explanations Tailored to Your Pace:
I understand that everyone learns differently, so I take the time to explain concepts in a way that makes the most sense to you. Whether you need multiple examples or just a slower pace, I’ll adjust my approach to suit your learning style.
Step-by-Step Breakdown of Problem-Solving Techniques:
I believe that breaking problems down into manageable steps can make even the most confusing math topics feel more approachable. During our lessons, we’ll go through each problem carefully so you understand not just how to solve it, but why it works.
Support Outside of Lessons via Text for Questions and Clarifications:
Learning doesn’t stop when the lesson ends! If you ever get stuck on a problem or need a quick explanation between sessions, I’m happy to offer support through text. I want to be someone you can count on when math gets frustrating.
A Patient and Encouraging Learning Environment:
I’m here to help you feel confident, not overwhelmed. I’m patient, understanding, and I truly want you to feel comfortable asking questions — no matter how small. I’ll always cheer you on and work with you until things click.
