About Myfanwy
I am a CELTA-certified EFL teacher and combine this with a career in music. I have always been interested in learning languages - I feel that it helps us to better understand those from different cultures and backgrounds. It is always a pleasure to help others learn a new language, and a joy to watch students achieve their goals.

I have a CELTA and three years' teaching experience. Lessons typically last for an hour, although younger learners may need a shorter lesson, whilst those preparing for exams may wish for longer lessons.
I tailor my approach to each individual's needs. Have you recently moved to the UK, or are about to? I can help you improve your practical English and talk about life in the UK to help smoothen your transition to a new country. Do you want to take the IELTS, TOEFL or similar exams? I have experience successfully preparing students for these, and will focus on the areas needed for this - including plenty of practice exams!
If you are learning simply for pleasure, we can focus on the areas that interest you most, such as speaking, and build your confidence, fluency and accuracy . I always take into account the goals, needs and learning styles of each person.
