About Jess
Hi, I’m Jess! I’m currently a psychology student and I offer friendly, supportive tutoring in maths and science for primary and secondary school students.
I know that these subjects can sometimes feel overwhelming or confusing, especially in a classroom where things move quickly. My aim is to make learning feel calmer, clearer and more manageable by explaining things in simple ways and working through problems step by step.
I’m patient, understanding and happy to go at whatever pace works best for you. Whether you need help with homework, understanding tricky topics, building confidence or preparing for exams, I’ll tailor sessions to what you need most.
As a student myself, I understand the pressures that come with school and exams, so I try to create a relaxed environment where questions are always welcome and mistakes are just part of learning.

My lessons are relaxed, supportive and tailored to each student. I take the time to understand what areas they find difficult and explain things step by step in a clear and simple way so the topics feel less overwhelming.
I like to begin by understanding what the student is currently learning and where they need the most help. From there we can go through topics together, practise questions and work through problems until they feel more confident.
I focus on building confidence as well as understanding, because once students feel comfortable asking questions, learning becomes much easier. Lessons can include help with homework, practising exam questions, revising topics for tests or simply working through areas that feel tricky in maths or science.
My aim is to create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace and gradually build both their knowledge and confidence.
