About Lily
Hi, I’m Lily! I grew up in a military family, which taught me adaptability, empathy, and the importance of helping others wherever life takes me. I’ve always had a passion for working with children, which led me to become an elementary school substitute teacher and now work privately with kids who have autism and disabilities. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how every child learns differently and the power of patience and encouragement in helping them succeed. I’m currently a college student studying psychology with the goal of becoming a child psychologist to help children improve their mental health and emotional well-being. My tutoring approach is calm, supportive, and tailored to each student’s unique learning style. I believe learning should be positive and enjoyable, so I focus on building confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning. What sets me apart is my compassion and dedication — I truly care about every child I work with. Seeing their excitement when they grasp a new concept or believe in themselves again is the most rewarding part of what I do. My goal is to help every student not only grow academically but also gain the confidence to thrive in all areas of life.

Hi, I’m Lily! As a college student and former elementary school substitute teacher, I’ve learned that every student learns best when they feel supported, understood, and encouraged. My tutoring approach focuses on patience, positivity, and creating a comfortable space where students can ask questions freely and build confidence in their abilities.
During a typical lesson, I start by reviewing what the student is currently working on in class, then break down difficult topics into simple, easy-to-follow steps. I include short practice activities and positive feedback to keep learning engaging and fun. Whether we’re working on reading, writing, organization, or homework support, I always tailor each session to fit the student’s unique needs and pace.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my caring, individualized approach. I truly enjoy helping students discover their strengths and develop confidence not just in schoolwork, but in themselves. My lessons are perfect for elementary and middle school students who need extra support, motivation, or a boost in academic skills.
