About Zuny
My lessons are friendly, personalised and centred around building confidence alongside improving academic performance. I use clear explanations, worked examples, practice questions and active recall to help students genuinely understand what they are learning rather than simply memorising it. Lessons typically last one hour and include regular feedback and activities adapted to the student’s needs.
I tutor Maths and English from primary level through to GCSE and A-level, adapting my teaching style to suit each student’s age, ability and individual goals.
I also have six months of tutoring experience, having worked with 18 students. All of my students achieved 1–2 grades higher than they had originally expected. This experience taught me the importance of being patient, encouraging and, most importantly, allowing each student to learn at a pace that makes them feel comfortable and confident.

I’m a second-year Law student at Durham University, and I strongly believe that learning should never feel like a punishment. I know this from personal experience — I struggled with my GCSEs before figuring out how to study in a way that worked for me, eventually achieving A*s at A-level and getting into my dream university.
Outside of academics, I enjoy developing real-world skills and learning from different experiences. I spent three months working as a legal intern at a real estate company, where I gained experience with drafting agreements. I also volunteered at a dog shelter for a year, helping organise weekly adoption days and developing my communication and people skills.
One of the biggest things I’ve learnt is that there is no such thing as a silly question. If something doesn’t make sense, it simply means it hasn’t been explained in the right way yet.
