About Emerald
Hello English learners, I'm Emerald! I'm from a small town on east-coast of England but I've lived in Manchester for the last 5 years!
I have 2 degrees in modern languages and cultures. I love learning languages and I want to help others succeed in their own language learning.
My two favourite activities to do in my spare time are going to the cinema and to the theatre! I also love reading, cooking, baking, photography, and playing sports (sailing, karate, swimming, and badminton).

My lessons suit anyone over the age of 10. I can teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced English. My lessons range from 30 minutes to 2 hours in length. My schedule is flexible and I always tailor the lesson to the student's needs.
English is my mother tongue but I also speak fluent French (level C2), thanks to studying modern languages and cultures at the University of Manchester. This means that my lessons are ideal for French natives who are learning English.
I work with the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, who deliver language programmes to students in Manchester. I have also been an online French tutor for the last 6 years. Over the years, I have developed excellent professional relationships with my pupils. It's been a pleasure to see their language skills grow.
From personal experience, I know how hard learning a new language can be. I'm friendly, knowledgeable, and I would love to help you!
