About Will
Hi, I'm Will! I'm 18, studying French, History and Maths at A-Level (predicted 3 A*s, with straight 9s at GCSE), and going to study French at Cambridge next year. If you're looking for help with French anywhere from beginner to GCSE or A level, I'd love to help. I'm also happy to give parents a brief summary after each session so you always know what we've covered and where your child is heading.
Why Choose Me?
I'm not a native French speaker, which means that I have actually had to learn it from scratch, just like you! I therefore know the stumbling blocks, uncomfortable patches, and techniques to remember the hardest bits of grammar. For most native speakers, these things all just feel natural because it's their own language, so they are harder to explain in basic terms. I have also actively chosen to study French at university, so my genuine interest and fascination in the French language and culture gives me a desire to share this passion with others! I know French can feel overwhelming (I've been there!), so I focus on breaking it down into manageable, confidence-building steps, and making sure every student can work independently between sessions too.
One of my main goals is to make sure that every student feels comfortable in my lessons, and confident in asking questions. The only thing I ask of you is to throw yourself into it, try your best, and don't be afraid of getting things wrong!

I would love to help you out with anything you're finding tricky at A Level and below. Lessons with me are an hour each, taught online.
I specialise in helping students who feel stuck or lack confidence in French, breaking down difficult patches until they feel natural!
Lessons are tailored to the student’s needs, whether that’s catching up on fundamentals, preparing for exams, pushing for top grades, or reaching more idiomatic expression and fluency. I use grammar exercises, speaking practice, and small (and unscary!) vocabulary tests to make sure students fully understand each new concept that we cover.
I like to teach in a casual and fun way, making sure that the student is comfortable with everything we're doing - pace of tuition is completely up to you.
