About Jesse
I have not given private tutoring before. But I have experience in teaching several friends and family members, and they insisted that I should look into becoming a private tutor after they understood the maths very quickly after I sat down with them.
I just enjoy helping others and giving them the powerful feeling that they can do something they couldn't do an hour before. And with maths, I know I can give that.

Hi! I'm a Computer Science student at the University of Southampton. At A Level I received A*s in both Maths and Chemistry, and in 3 of those maths exams I received 100%. But I understand that sometimes you can just struggle with a subject. For my third A Level, Physics, I achieved a C grade. Sometimes you just need a bit of help, and the sooner you ask for it, the more prepared you will be for your exam.
I don't have a set technique for teaching. I will talk to the student on a personal level, and get them to look at maths in a context that they are familiar with. A lesson plan will be created on the first lesson, and is not final. If the student wishes to do a specific topic first, then we will do that, else we will go in the same order the student is going in at school.
In essence, I will be tailoring each lesson to the student. Ultimately, my goal is not to have them learn maths, but to understand it. Every student learns differently, so I want to be a teacher that teaches differently, to suit them.

Secondary School students up to GCSE: £15 per hour
AS and A Level students: £25 per hour
First lesson is always free. I don't want to the student to feel pressured that they have to learn for any reason. Patience and trust is all they need. They will learn in the right environment, at their own pace.
