About Abimbola Gift
Hii, I’m Abimbola. I recently completed my GCSEs, including Higher Tier Maths, and I’m now studying A-Levels. Because I’ve just gone through the same maths topics that many students are learning, I understand exactly where people get stuck and how to explain things in a simple, clear way. I’m patient, friendly, and good at breaking things down step by step. I know what it feels like to struggle with a topic at first, so I always create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I want to tutor because I know exactly what it feels like to be scared of maths. There were times during my GCSEs when I looked at a question and felt completely overwhelmed. I used to think I just “wasn’t good at maths,” and that fear made everything feel harder than it actually was. I thought that I would have to retake maths, NO ONE WANTS TO DO THAT! but in the end I passed. But once someone explained things to me in a clear, simple way, the fear started to fade. I realised that most of the time, the problem wasn’t me — it was the way the topic was taught. That experience changed everything for me. Now I want to help other students who feel the same way. I want them to know that being scared doesn’t mean you can’t do it. With patience, the right explanation, and someone who understands what it feels like, maths becomes so much easier.

Here’s how my lessons work: We start with a quick recap to check understanding I explain the topic in a calm, step-by-step way We solve practice questions together You try some questions on your own to build confidence We finish with a short review so everything makes sense I teach at your pace, not mine. My goal is to help you feel more confident, improve your grades, and actually understand the methods — not just memorise them.
