About Essam
I’m a recent Law with Criminology graduate from the University of the West of England, and I’ve always enjoyed helping people understand things that initially seem difficult. I’m a friendly, patient and approachable person, and I believe learning is much easier when you have someone who is willing to explain things in a different way until it finally clicks. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing someone go from being confused or lacking confidence to suddenly understanding a topic and realising they’re capable of much more than they thought. For me, tutoring isn’t just about getting the right answer — it’s about building confidence, developing problem-solving skills and helping students become more independent in their learning. I want my lessons to be something students look forward to rather than something they feel they have to dread, and I’ll always do my best to make sure every student feels supported and comfortable throughout their learning journey.

Maths doesn’t have to feel impossible — sometimes you just need someone to explain it in a way that actually makes sense. I offer friendly, patient and personalised Maths tuition for Primary, KS3 and GCSE students, including both Foundation and Higher. I tailor every lesson around the student, whether they’re struggling with a specific topic, preparing for an exam or simply want to become more confident with Maths. My approach is simple: break difficult concepts down into manageable steps, work through clear examples together, then give students the opportunity to tackle questions themselves so they genuinely understand what they’re doing rather than just memorising methods. I have a degree in Law with Criminology from the University of the West of England, which has developed my analytical thinking, problem-solving and ability to work through complex information logically. Lessons are normally 60 minutes, with longer sessions available for students who need more intensive exam preparation. Most importantly, I want my lessons to be relaxed and encouraging, so students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving without feeling judged. Whether you’re aiming for a pass, pushing for higher grades or simply want to feel more confident when you see a Maths question, I’m here to help you get there.
