About Ying
I am from Shanghai, China, and I am currently studying at the University of Sydney. I want to teach Chinese part-time because I enjoy interacting with people who grew up in different cultural backgrounds and want to help those who love Chinese culture learn what they are interested in. I’m skilled at storytelling and using examples to help students better understand concepts. I utilize videos, pictures, and other materials to aid in comprehension. My classroom atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, avoiding awkwardness or tension. I have taught for one month during the summer in China, responsible for students from grades three to six. I also assign appropriate homework based on the day’s lessons and provide feedback.
