About Sunny
Hi, I am Sunny! I prefer she/her pronouns. I'm a native Mandarin speaker and a student at the University of Washington in Seattle. I grew up reading, writing, and speaking Mandarin until my senior year of high school, so I can help you learn the language the way it's actually used in everyday life!
I know learning Mandarin can feel intimidating at first. My goal is to make it clear and enjoyable. I come to every lesson prepared, and I'm patient with every question.

I am fluent in Mandarin, speaking, reading, and writing. I have taught students in different subjects (Algebra, Chinese, and English) ranging in age from 5 to 14. I usually keep my lessons conversational and practical. I believe students learn more from practicing speaking rather than memorizing vocabulary. My main focus are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I pay more attention to pronunciation since they are the foundation for sounding natural. I tend to use real-life examples so that what students learn will be immediately useful.
