About Benjamin
I’m great believer in making science available to all. Unfortunately, the way we teach science locks certain types of people/ways of thinking out. This is the exact opposite of what we need to do. Because to solve tomorrows tough science questions (climate change and associated transitions, food availability, next generation antibiotics etc) requires everybody on board.
I endeavor to help you grasp whatever drives you. Because we need you to make tomorrow better.

My approach to tutoring is highly personalized and tailored directly to your comfort leveI. I'm great believer in using someone's unique talent to unlock a deeper understanding. More often than not, there's many ways to approach a solution. And I strive to teach creative problem solving. My lesson times can be tailored to your requirements.
In terms of background, I've researched chemistry/physics to the postdoctoral level.
For my postdoctoral studies, I worked on low toxicity luminescent nanocrystals for medical imaging and display technologies in France (LPCNO).
In my PhD (from UNSW), I developed new synthetic techniques for semiconductor nanomaterials. During my PhD, I also helped in develop nanocrystal based contrast agents for biomedical imaging.
My Undergraduate degree is BSc with a chemistry major however I took several physics and biology papers up to the 200 level.
