About Stella
With 6 years navigating the trenches of computer science education, I empower K-12 students and college first-years to command code with clarity and creativity. What started as volunteering at coding clubs became a full-time passion for demystifying tech for every learning style.
I’m fluent in Python, Java, C++, and web stacks, yet I lead with empathy, not jargon. Younger students explore computational thinking through animation and game design, discovering loops and variables as creative tools. Teens prep for AP CS exams, hackathons, and college apps by building tangible projects from Discord bots to data dashboards. College freshmen rely on me to decode lecture material, optimize algorithms, and adopt industry-grade habits for debugging and version control.
Over 6 years I’ve honed a responsive pedagogy: visual mapping for abstract thinkers, hands-on sprints for kinesthetic learners, and metacognitive coaching for all. Step into lessons where syntax meets imagination. I mentor K-12 students and college first-years through the full arc of programming fluency from foundational logic to launch-ready projects. We demystify technology by building it.
Early learners start with visual block coding, learning sequencing and events by animating stories. As confidence blooms, we transition to text-based languages: Python for versatility, Java for AP prep, C++ for competition rigor, HTML/CSS/JS for web artisans. College freshmen receive targeted support on recursion, OOP, and exam-proof study habits.
Every session is calibrated to learning style and pace. Visual thinkers storyboard programs before typing. Analytical minds dive into pseudocode and trace tables. We prioritize metacognition, teaching students to debug their own thought process, not just their code. Expect collaborative whiteboarding, live coding challenges, and retro sessions where we refactor together.
