About Rachel
I’m a front-end developer currently working in industry at a Big Four consulting firm, where I specialise in building interactive web applications using React.js, Svelte.js, and TypeScript. Alongside my professional work, I’m also a passionate and experienced coding tutor, with over 3.5 years of experience teaching children aged 5–14 years both online and in person. I hold a current Blue Card for working with children.

My primary focus as a tutor is helping learners gain practical, real-world skills in web development—from the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to more advanced topics like React, Svelte, and modern front-end workflows.
I offer personalised, hands-on lessons tailored to your goals and experience level. I bring both industry insight and a passion for teaching to every session, helping you build confidence and competence in coding. I hold a Bachelor of Design Computing from the University of Sydney and am a strong advocate for lifelong learning.
In addition to working with adults, I also have 3.5 years of experience teaching coding to children aged 5–14, both online and in person. I hold a current Blue Card for working with children. For younger students, I offer engaging lessons in Scratch, Python, and 3D modelling with Blender, designed to spark creativity and curiosity in a safe, supportive environment.
